Beginners drop in classes These classes are for students new to yoga and beginners coming out of the beginners course.
Yoga mixed level - all welcome. These classes are mixed level hatha based flowing vinjasa. This means that your movements are linked with your breath as each pose flows onto the next.
Yoga 1 a gentler mixed level class. These classes are hatha based flowing vinjasa, this means that your movements are linked with your breath as each pose flows onto the next. Please note these classes can be quite busy so come early! Beginners welcome, but its suggested you complete the beginners course first.
Yoga 2 dynamic yoga class exploring more challenging variations. (please note these classes can be quite busy so come early!)
Jivamukti yoga dynamic vinyasa incorporating yogic philosophy, spiritual activism and chanting. Jivamukti Yoga is an inspiring style founded by Sharon Gannon and David Life in New York City, emphasising the goal of Yoga as liberation. The Jivamukti method is one of 9 internationally recognised styles of Hatha Yoga and we are very glad to be able to offer it here at Samadhi. The 5 tenets of Jivamukti Yoga are Scripture, Bhakti (devotion), Ahimsa (non-violence), Nada Yoga (exploring sacred sound) and Meditation. The classes are dynamic vinyasa incorporating yogic philosophy, spiritual activism and chanting. Taught by certified Jivamukti Yoga teachers.
Jivamukti yoga 2 hour class taught by Sarah T. Thursdays 6-8pm. $30 or 2 swipes of an 8 class pass.
Kundalini yoga and Kundalini Restorative yoga Until fairly recently the secrets of Kundalini yoga were closely guarded. In 1969 this powerful and transforming yoga was brought to the west by guru Yogi Bhajan. Kundalini yoga is a vigorous form of yoga suitable for all levels. The classes uses mantra, breath, dynamic posture, and meditation. The Kundalini yoga tradition is based on the chakras (or energy wheels) in the body. Kundalini yoga offers a physical, mental and spiritual program that provides a simple guide to living in health, peace and harmony.
Restorative yoga A gentle practice that will leave you feeling uplifted and relaxed. A great way to balance your yoga practice. In restorative yoga you will hold poses for longer, relaxing into a pose in order to release parts of the body that hold emotional and physical tension. Good for those recovering from injury, Beginners to yoga or for those wanting a gentle practice.
Yin yoga & meditation relaxed and nourishing long held poses, a focus on meditative awareness.
Yoga nidra is the practice of deep relaxation of the physical body where consciousness remains alert. This class is suitable for everyone and involves some gentle opening stretches to enable physical relaxation. In this practice we are given the opportunity to inhabit our subconscious and explore things and ideas that in everyday life perhaps hold us back. It is a practice that can be done by anyone at any time. Yoga Nidra invites us to begin the process of unfolding toward our full potential as spiritual beings without having to use the physical body. The practice is done lying on the ground and is suitable for practitioners of any level or physical ability. The class will include some gentle opening stretches to enable physical relaxation
Pregancy yoga a focus on gentle yoga postures, breath and meditation. A beautiful way to for pregnant women to connect to their unborn baby. Learn the unique requirements in preparing your body for birth and develop a practice that will support your health and well-being throughout this time of change on all levels. These classes are run by experienced yoga teacher and mother of three Lynda Taylor.
Mums and toddlers join other mums and their toddlers for a fun morning filled with music, fun and yoga postures.
Mums and Bubs Recommended age 6 weeks to pre-crawling. As mothers we are always doing the best we can. As women we need to learn our best is always good enough. A class for mums to attend with their babies. A typical session includes baby stretches to take small bodies through a full range of movements and postures-for-two which give mums and babies a new way to relate to each other. The main focus is on post-natal yoga, providing an excellent route to post-natal recovery in a way that is safe, gentle and energising for tired mums. Kids Yoga Recommended age group Kindy to Year 2. Yoga helps children stay supple and healthy from a young age. It’s a great form of exercise because it’s not competitive and it encourages participation rather than winning. The classes are fun and lighthearted. David completed his teacher training at Samadhi Yoga (he is trained in both kids yoga and yoga for grown ups!).

Private Classes A private yoga class is a wonderful way to tailor your own practice. It allows the space for injuries to be worked with and the poses to be modified exactly to suit your needs. It also is a way of challenging and fine tuning your body. The skills you develop by working one on one with a teacher are invaluable for your practice in a group and your personal yoga journey. Many of the teachers here at Samadhi offer their skills for private classes.
Our teachers have a wide range of interests and each focus on specific areas. These range from focusing on meditation, to working with specific illness using the tools of yoga, helping you understand a physical limitation or just more deeply understand your experience of the practice.
