Thursday 26th August - Upholding the Lineage

Where do we come from as Yoga teachers? In this workshop you will be introduced to teachers who have shaped yoga, especially in the west, including those who have passed and who are still with us today. We will learn about Krishnamacarya, Iyangar, Sri K pattabhi Jois, Desikachar, Swami Vivekananda and many more.
 
 
Thursday 2nd September - Theming your Yoga classes
As a yoga teacher, there are so many ways in which you can theme your classes. Learn how to formulate a theme and link music, postures and class level together.
 

Thursday 9th September - Teaching Vinyasa
What does the term vinyasa mean, where does it come from, what makes for a good vinyasa class, and how can we be effective vinyasa teachers?
 
 
Thursday 16th September - Holding the space
Be confident leading your students by refining the technicalities of teaching. Yoga classes are far more involved than just calling out a bunch of postures in sequence. Includes vocal quality, time management, economy of words, guaing the level of the students.
 
 
Thursday 23rd September -  Sanskrit and Yoga
It's importance in relation to teaching yoga and how to integrate this sacred language into classes.
 

Thursday 7th October - Representations of the Divine
Learn more about the gods and goddesses so influential in yogic philosophy, including Ganesh, Shiva, Hanuman, Vishnu, Parvati, Sarasvati and Lakshmi.
